Swimming in thermal water
Bešeňová
The thermal park of Bešeňová arose at the springs of hot mineral water originating from the depth of 1987 m through a drill well. Its temperature is 60 °C. In the park area there are 9 outdoor and 4 indoor swimming pools, 9 toboggans, a vital world, a relax centre, a nudist beach. It is open all year long. Thermal water has a positive influence especially on locomotive organs, urologic problems, respiratory organs and skin problems.
Vrbov
The thermal swimming-pool Vrbov is situated close to the village Vrbov, on the way from the Spišský Štvrtok to Kežmarok. You will find here seven pools with mineral water. The water is famous with its exceptionally strong healing effects on kinetic system, rheumatism, heart-, urologic- and asthmatic- illnesses, suitable for people after heart attack.
Liptovský Ján
Liptovský Ján is a gate to the Jánska Valley, rich on natural beauties, caves, flora, fauna, thermal water and mineral springs. At the same time it is an important tourist and recreational centre suitable for winter as well as summer vacation. Thermal water is used in swimming pools in another healing house Máj. It was proved that water really has positive healing effects esp. on skin illnesses, illnesses of kinetic system, metabolism, gynaecologic, neurological, heart and vessels illnesses
Tatralandia
Aquapark Tatralandia is the largest water complex of fun and relax in Slovakia, open throughout the year.It is only 2 km far from the town Liptovský Mikuláš and easily accessible from all main roads. Visitors can find in Aquapark Tatralandia 11 thermal swimming pools - 8 of them open throughout the year with healing mineral water of temperature 24-39°C (3 covered). It has a lot of water attractions: swimming tracks, water crawling wall, massage sessions, water beds, little water mushrooms, gargoyles, water flows, water swings, water volley-ball and basketball, slides for children ... Great fun is guaranteed by 27 toboggan tracks and water slides (8 of them are open throughout the year). Vital world Tatra-Therm-Vital, unique complex of 16 sultry, water and massage baths, saunas and procedures are also a part of the Aquapark.
