The shop also offers the rent of mountain bikes and it is located on the opposite side of the spa house Aphrodite, towards Hotel Veľká Fatra. Squash - Victoria squash centre – Žilina Victoria centre offers four courts Fiberesin with the possibility to rent squash equipment. You can find the squash centre 14 km from Rajecké Teplice, in Žilina’s city side Bôrik.
Horse riding Horse riding through the picturesque nature of Rajecká valley, for both beginners and advanced riders. Riding is performed under the care of a trainer in the surrounding of the Fačkov village.
Town Žilina
Town Žilina belongs to the most significant cultural and historical Slovak towns.
The oldest written mention comes from the year 1208, however a Slovak village lied here already before the 13th century. The historical centre belongs to the national heritage and is famous by its burgher’s houses, mainly in renaissance style situated on the square. Visitors can admire the original church of Holy Trinity, baroque churches with monasteries of Francisian and Jesuit friars.

Rajecká Lesná The historical village was known under the name Frivald until the year 1948. It lies 15 km from Rajecké Teplice on the bottom of the hill Kľak, which is the dominant of the Rajecká valley. The first written mention comes from the year 1418. Recommendation for a visit: Church of the St. Mary’s Birth from 14th century, Calvary with chapel and curative springs, the biggest Slovak Betlehem carved from lime wood
Čičmany The national heritage Čičmany comprises of the unique system of 136 wooden houses with specific white ornaments. The most preserved buildings are the Raden’s house and Gregor’s house where the national folk exposition takes place.

The surrounding of the Rajecké Teplice town with hundreds of kilometres of minor roads, cart-roads, forest roads and sidewalks leading through the beautiful nature or local villages offers ideal conditions for mountain biking.

Banská Štiavnica
The town Banská Štiavnica with its nearby technical sights are part of the world cultural and natural heritage as registered in 1993. This town is known by its historical silver and gold mining. The first mention about silver mining comes from the year 1217. Recommendation for a visit: square and St. Trinity sculpture, historical town hall, Kammerhof, Old castle, tower “Klopačka”, Church of St. Mary – patroness of miners, Church of the Virgin Mary’s translation, New castle, Piargská gate, buildings of Mining and forestry academy and Calvary
Kremnica The town with rich mining and tradition of acunation is situated in the middle of Kremnica mountains with unique collection of Gothic urban lanscaping. Recommendation for a visit: town fortification, Church of St. Catherine, Plague pillar, tower Barbakan, square with baroque fountain, Museum of coins and medals
Martin The town Martin became free royal town in 1340, but the significant growth occurred in the half of the 19th century, when Turiec inhabitants supported the revolution of Štúr fellows. At this time Martin has changed into the significant centre of Slovak culture, science, art, journalism, banking industry and politics. Recommendation for a visit: Museum of Slovak village, Museum of Etnography, Museum of Andrej Kmeť, Turiec gallery Castles and manor-houses - Come for a trip, where you enjoy romance with a smell of history. Castle Bojnice Variety of attractions in one destination, 60 km from Rajecké Teplice, direction to Prievidza. National cultural heritage in Neo-Gothic style with valuable collection of historical relics and interesting cultural program during the whole year. Nearby the castle the ZOO and swimming pool are located.
Manor-house Budatín Built in the Middle Ages as a royal fort with water castle, today after partial reconstruction. The manor-house is located in the Žilina’s city side Budatín. In its interior you can visit the Považské museum and the unique exposition of tinker art, the only one in the world
Manor-house Kunerad The manor-house was built in the year 1916. During the Slovak National Uprising it was the seat of the headquarters of 2nd partisan brigade of M. R. Štefánik. The fascists burned the manor-house on 25.9.1944, but after liberation was recovered. Manor-house is situated in the village Kunerad, 7 km from Rajecké Teplice.
Lietava Castle Relics of one of the biggest castles in Slovakia situated on the eastern edge of Strážov mountains between the villages Lietava and Lietavská Svinná, 10 km from Rajecké Teplice towards Žilina. Built in the 13th century.
Strečno Castle Well-preserved relics of the castle built in the 14th century. It went through many reconstructions during its famous history of which the last one was realised in the recent century. The castle belongs to the national cultural heritage. Visitors can admire preserved constructions like tower, palace and inner fortification circuit. From its top there is a beautiful view on the river Váh valley and Malá Fatra mountains. The castle is located Orava Castle Orava Castle is a well-preserved and large settlement above the village Oravský Podzámok, 90 km from Rajecké Teplice, direction Dolný Kubín. It belongs to the national cultural heritage and comes from 13th century. |
