An archeologically interesting place is Čertova pec, 15 km from the spa. During the Ice Age it was settled by prehistoric people.
The nearby castle ruins of Tematín, Beckov and Čachtice will remain in the memories of guests as places where time stood still and where the walls whisper eternal legends about the cruel owners and bloody Countess Báthory.
On the highest mountain of the Myjavská pahorkatina mountain range, Bradlo, stands a national cultural monument, the grave mound of a significant Slovak statesman and scientist, General M. R. Štefánik.
Coach trips to the wine town of Modra are also very popular. After a walk around the ceramic factory with the opportunity to purchase their products, you can taste wine from the sunny Carpathian hills and enjoy a typical Slovak dinner accompanied with folk music.

Get to know the history and technology of the production of crystal glass at the most famous Slovak glass factory in Valašská Belá, together with a snack and the opportunity to buy the exquisite local products.
Romantic Bojnice Castle dating from the eleventh century was rebuilt at the beginning of the twentieth century in the style of a French chateau of the Middle Ages according to the designs of the owner, Count Ján Pálffy. It is one of the most picturesque sights in Slovakia and is surrounded by a beautiful park. Close by is a Zoo.
Also a historic point of interest is Červený kameň Castle, featuring an interior furnished with historic furniture and portraits.

Piešťany is thanks to its position and unique sports infrastructure the paradise for active people. Water sports, swimming, tennis, squash, horse-riding, touring and hiking, bike tourism, parachute jumps, skydiving – it is only the part of offer that you can find here.
Golf
Golf’s area is situated in the northern part of Spa Island. There belongs besides 9 – match play golf course the club house, coffeehouse, golf shop
Piešťany is also well known for its tennis tradition. Directly on the Spa Island, in the area of the swimming pool Eva, guests and town visitors can use two tennis courts, which are open seasonally. The courts feature a quality clay surface and are available for spa guests. We are able to provide a professional trainer or sparing partner on request; tennis classes for beginners are also available if required.
Tennis
Tennis courts are not only available for individual guests and Piešťany visitors; we can use them for organizing tennis tournaments with quality services and additional and regeneration services for participants.
Water sports
River Váh and Lake Sĺňava are ideal for water sports, canoeing, yachting, sailing, boating. Water tank, pond Sĺňava with surface area 4,3 km2 is situated between the town Piešťany and the village Drahovce.
Water skiing
Close to Piešťany (approximately 2 km) in Ratnovská zátoka (cove) at the water pond Sĺňava is situated the specially equipped area with towage lift for water skiing, which is in operation during summer months July and August daily from 10:00 to 18:00 hrs. There is available the water skiing, kneeboard renting, renting of neoprene and beach volleyball.
Tandem parachute jumping
At the airport in the village of Slavnica (near Trencin) you can try tandem parachute jumping from a hight of 4O00 m with an experienced instructor. Free falling lasts about 50 seconds and you reach speeds of up to 200km/hour.
Rafting
Wooden rafts, floats again sail on river Váh as very long ago. Today you can experience the cruise sailing around the scenic colourful niches and nooks of this river with music and pleasant agreeable company. The cruise lasts for approximately 2 hours, it starts near the village Horná Streda, and it ends in Piešťany and is long in total 9 km.
Squash
Four modern air-conditioned courts, sauna, bar, possibility of renting the complete outfit and equipment from racket and ball to special indoor footwear and towel.
Squash Club at Hlboká street is open daily from 10:00 to 22:00 hrs.
