On this tour we do combination of many different activities in ten days. Starting in Prague discovering this fascinating city with amazing history we then carry on with the tour in the Slovak Tatra Mountains. We discover many mountain lakes hidden in the mountains, impressive waterfalls and caves. We will also raft on traditional wooden rafts on river Orava,
discovering Slovak culture and tasting traditional Slovak food. This tour is suitable for both adult and family groups.

1.) Travel to Prague
Meet the guide at the airport. Our guide will welcome you and assist you with the transfer to your airport. |
2.) Golden Prague & Train to Tatra Mountains
After breakfast we set for the day of discovering the golden city of Prague. Visiting the most interesting places will make this day memorable. We will visit for example the Astronomical clock, Charles Bridge, The Prague’s castle and other fascinating places full of history. Our guide will recommend us a nice place for lunch. In the afternoon we will have time to visit other places as we wish. In the evening we get on a sleeper train to Slovakia (Tatra Mountains). Our guide will assist us finding the right train before saying good bye to us. Once we arrive in town Liptovsky Mikulas situated only 40 minutes to drive by bus to our hotel we will be joined by Slovakian guide who will be with us during our time in Slovakia. |
3.) Free Day
In the early morning we arrive in Liptovsky Mikulas, which is situated in the Tatra Mountains in northern Slovakia. At the train station we meet our next guide who will be with us during our stay in Slovakia. Today is a day of relax and get to know the area that will be our home for the next 6 days. |
4.) Cave, chair lift to Chopok
Today we will visit the stunning cave Demanovska. The cave is situated in the beautiful area of Low Tatras only 30 minutes to drive from our hotel. After the visit we take a chair lift to get to the top of the highest peak of the Low Tatras called Chopok (2024m).

5.) Mountain lakes & waterfall
Today we will trek in the area of Western Tatras. A short 9km journey by bus takes us to the small settlement of Zverovka (1004m) which is the starting point of our trekking. The first part of today’s walk will be on a road before ascending to the first mountain lake of Tatliakovo. Initially it’s only trees that we will see above us but within a short space of time the mountains begin to reveal themselves ; jagged, grey limestone peaks reaching over 2000 meters above see level. On the way we will see another three mountain lakes each with crystal clean water. By one of the lakes we will have our picnic lunch. Once we start to descend we will also pass a beautiful 18 meter high waterfall Rohacsky. In warm summer days this is a great place for break. Approximately today’s walk take 6 hours, ascent of 650 meters. |
6.) Cycling & Thermal pools
Today we get our bikes from the local hire shop and will transfer by bus together with our bikes to the nearby mountain settlement Oravice. This will be the area for our cycling through the stunning valleys. The terrain is easy suitable even for the younger ones. Oravice is also famous for its thermal pools. After the cycling we will spend 3 hours in those pools. The temperature of this water is 38 C and the waters are very beneficial.

7.) Ride on traditional wooden raft & Oravsky castle
30 minutes transfer will take us to the starting point of our rafting on river Orava. We will have a ride on the traditional wooden raft. The grade of this ride is easy suitable for children. During this ride, which will take approximately 1 hour we will listen to our guide telling us many interesting stories about the locals and the way they used to live in the old times. After the ride we make our way to visit one of the most interesting castles in Slovakia called Oravsky Hrad (castle).

8.) Rafting
Unlike the wooden rafts today we will raft on a modern rafting boats on river Vah. We transfer to the starting point. Our guide will tell us everything tha we need to know for safe rafting. Rafting will take approximately 2,5 hours.

9.) Free day
On this day we will have a chance to do our own activities according our wishes. In the evening our guide will transfer us by bus back to Liptovsky Mikulas to take the night train back to Prague. Our guide will not travel with us. This is the time to say good-bye. |
